You take the Online portion of the class at your home or office then we will meet with you one-on-one to allow for skills practice and testing. Make contact with us to make sure we can meet with you when you are available BEFORE you take the Online portion.

$120.00 The cost includes the Online cost, Skills Check, and the AHA Completion Card. The reason for the cost of this option is that it is scheduled just for you and is not a convienice for us considering time away from family and/or other projects. We do offer other competitive options. This training course is for Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Physician's Assistants, Residents or Fellows, Medical or Nursing Students in Training, Aides, Medical or Nursing Assistants, and Other Allied Health Personnel (such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist, and Athletic Trainers) 

The cost includes the Online cost, Skills Check, and the AHA Completion Card. When you register for this class a KEY CODE with INSTRUCTIONS will be emailed to you so you can complete Part 1 (Online Portion)   You must complete Part 1 (online course)  before the skills session AND you MUST bring us a copy of your Online completion certificate for our records to send to the American Heart Association. 

There are THREE parts to the American Heart Association BLS Online with Skill Check course:

  1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online class and written test completion (0.5 to 2 hours).
  2. Part 2 and 3 (Skills Session) at our facility: Manikin practice and skills testing (20 min - 1 hr depending on your skill level)

The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Students will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children and infants through 5 interactive exercises, scenarios and a written test. Navigation controls allow students to move easily through content as they learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED. Course also teaches relief of choking. This self-paced course is accessible anytime from any computer. Students can access the BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual, BLS Pocket Reference Card and more for 24 months. 

Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts. You should receive your AHA BLS card in the mail within 1 to 2 weeks but could (rare) be a little longer. Your CPR card will be identical to the classroom-based CPR card. We do provide proof of training at time of class if needed.  

This course may be used for initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course completion.

American Heart Association Heartsaver - Heartsaver courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This training course is for Colleges & Universities, State Correctional Facilities, Health & Fitness, Construction, Hospitality, Property Management, Security, Law Enforcement, Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety, Manufacturing......Please Note that the AHA BLS Class is a step up from the Heartsaver CPR/AED so if this class is not available at a convienient time please check for the AHA Basic Life Support class as it will work for your certification needs.

The cost includes the Online cost, Skills Check, and the AHA Completion Card. Heartsaver CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you CPR, AED and choking knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a CPR AED course completion card. You will learn:

  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Adult choking
  • Child CPR and AED use (optional)
  • Infant CPR (optional)
  • Child choking (optional)
  • Infant choking (optional)

CPR instruction includes high-quality compressions, airway management, breathing, and how to use a mask.

Once you begin the course, you’ll have access to the online lessons, videos, manuals and resources for 2 years! And you can start and stop the course at your convenience until you have finished it at your own pace.

Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you comprehensive First Aid, CPR, and AED knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card. You will learn: 

  • First aid basics
  • Medical emergencies
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Adult choking
  • Child CPR and AED use (optional)
  • Infant CPR (optional)
  • Child choking (optional)
  • Infant choking (optional) 

CPR instruction includes high-quality compressions, airway management, breathing, and how to use a mask. 

First Aid instruction includes bandaging, bleeding, wounds, choking, shock, seizure, fainting, broken bones, sprains, burns, bites, stings, poison, and temperature-related conditions, to name a few. 

Once you begin the course, you’ll have access to the online lessons, videos, manuals and resources for 2 years! And you can start and stop the course at your convenience until you have finished it at your own pace. 

Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. NOTE - The American Heart Association charges for their ONLINE CLASS & we charge for our SKILLS SESSION. The two charges are completely seperate. We have nothing to do with the Online Classes.

This registration page is for those who have completed Part 1 (online course) from the American Heart Association and need Parts 2 and 3 (Practice/Skills Session) ONLY.  You must have completed Part 1 (online course) on your own. You MUST bring a copy of the Online completion certificate with you to the skills session (We will keep the copy).

We can provide skills testing for Healthcare Provider BLS, Heartsaver CPR/AED, Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED. 

2-Year Certificaton: $95.00 (Practice and Skills ONLY) This is higher than our normal skills check rate because it is scheduled just for you and we have to make a special trip to provide the skills session.

We can provide training for American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Heartsaver CPR & AED, or Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED. We also provide CPR AED training through the National Safety Council

This is for an American Heart Association Replacement Card. The sequence of events for this:

1. You request a card,
2. We locate you in our records,
3. Send your information to the American Heart Association,
4. They print a card and send it to us,
5. We get the card and send it to you.

This page is when you have lost your National Safety Council CPR and/or First Aid certificate and need a new one.

This course is for Log Truck Drivers. The class will last approximately 2 hours. If you have a group of people and don't want to register on this page, just contact us at rex@safestepstraining.com or (252) 474 - 4626.

This class is a Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) Surface New Miner training class. New Miner Part 48-B & Part 46 classes are both 24 hours. Our instructors are MSHA Approved and as such can teach both Part 46 & 48. This class covers all MSHA required topics under Part 46 & 48-B (except Coal) and that is why we can combine the training. At checkout there will be boxs for you to designate Part 48 or Part 46 and if your company has an MSHA training plan. This will allow us to know what questions to ask you so that we can work with you individually to ensure you meet MSHA compliance (very important). If together, we see that what you need is not what we offer, we will be happy to undo your registration and it will NOT be considered a cancellation.

If you are trained as a “New Miner” by us, you will receive all required training except for Site-specific and Task Training.  MSHA requires these will be provided by your company or the mining company at which you will be working, and may be from a few minutes to several hours in length. Every time you work at a new mine site, even if you have 10 years experience, you will be required to receive Site-specific training and any new task training that may be applicable.

MULTIPLE STUDENTS:
